Civic Imagination
I’m passionate about making civic, leadership, and activism education way less boring and way more accessible. I believe that providing accessible opportunities to learn activism skills is an ethical obligation for organizers.
For the last six years I’ve pursued this passion largely through my work in fan activism, a method with proven success in reaching emergent activists. As the Director of Programs at the Harry Potter Alliance, I’ve been deeply involved in the program design, curriculum writing, and relational organizing that has helped shape modern fan activism.
I’m honored to have directly trained thousands of young fan activists, and to have my leadership and activism curriculum used in communities, classrooms, and libraries in over 30 countries around the world.
